WHO IS
Fairy Bookmother?
Fairy Bookmother was created by Posey Furnish, an experienced storyteller with an MA in Children’s Literature and a lifelong love of books and reading. She is a colourful and lively storyteller who brings children’s imaginations to life through her use of picture books and stories from around the globe and across history. From classic fairytales to traditional tales and modern picture books covering a diverse range of subjects, she offers an enchanting and engaging experience to everyone.
Posey is a skilled communicator who has worked with children and teens in libraries, bookstores, schools and charities for over 30 years both in the US and the UK. Her flexible and friendly communication style includes BSL and an ability to support both EAL and SEN children and a Fairy Bookmother session weaves in humour and narrative, along with a bit of magic, and can provide opportunities for children to participate in telling their own stories.
